FOUNDATIONS II: Continued Building
Okay, you've broken the seal and you are OFFICIALLY locked in on improv. Sweet! What comes next? We continue to build on the foundational lessons you have already absorbed. What does that mean? TIME TO GROW! In this four week course, we'll expand on the lessons learned in Foundations I, while adopting new skills. Character discovery, group play, environment and physicality will be explored, guaranteed to help add color to your scene work. You want to strengthen your capabilities? Foundations II! Want to continue on improving on breaking out of that damn comfort bubble? Foundations II!! Oh, you want to have a great time? FOUNDATIONS II!!!
SCHEDULE: Wednesdays, 7:05pm-9:05pm /October 14, 21, 28 and November 4
MAXIMUM PARTICIPANTS: 14
PREREQUISITES: Participants have completed Foundations I, or have taken part in introductory improv course equivalents at other schools/institutions. Prospective students with anywhere from 1 to 3 months of previous experience will also find value in the lessons. Additionally, if you have participated in a handful of our Weekly Workshop offerings, this is an ideal place to strengthen the core values.
ABOUT THE TEACHER:
James McGee is a Montreal-based actor, performer and instructor.
As a teacher, James has been leading improv classes for beginners since 2013 and has led workshops and team building events for a variety of performance schools, organizations and community groups since 2013, which include Coca-Cola, Pfizer, Canada Life, David's Tea, Joseph Ribkoff, among others.
He has also worked with academic institutions throughout Montreal, namely McGill University and Concordia University.
As a performer, James has appeared in a number of festivals, most notably OFF-JFL, Montreal Sketchfest, SOLOS Festival, POP! Montreal and the Montreal Fringe Festival, where he was the recipient of two awards in 2018.

We cannot accept credit cards or cheques, if you’d like to pay by cash, please let us know and we will arrange an appointment.
Mile End Improv is a safe space. Absolutely no abusive behaviour of any kind will be tolerated.
This is a commitment, and we expect those who register to attend the classes they’ve signed up for. Please be considerate; missing a class will affect the other participants and the delivery of the class material for everyone. There are no refunds or credits for missed classes.
Unfortunately, the studios are located on the second floor of the building.
Being a student at Mile End Improv allows you to attend the Every Thursday Improv Show for free during the weeks you are taking classes (if space allows!)
