EXPLORING CHARACTER

The idea of character in improv is simple (in concept), but can be fickle (when applying). Does it mean playing a sad Dracula or an old codger on a porch? Or is it about trying a funny walk with a wacky voice?

We'll experiment with a variety of methods in which we can recognize and adopt character, through movement, opinion and in the most basic of ways: the characteristics of the people we bring to life on stage and in scenes.

PAYMENT:

$225 per class. Please note we offer a discount. If you’d like to take another class, please reach out to let us know.

MAXIMUM PARTICIPANTS: 10

REQUIREMENTS: Has six months of in-class improv experience.

Once you register, you will wait to receive an INVOICE. Once you receive the invoice, you will have 24 hours to make your payment to secure your spot

We cannot accept credit cards or cheques. If you’d like to pay by cash, please let us know and we will arrange an appointment.

Mile End Improv is a safe space. Absolutely no abusive behaviour of any kind will be tolerated.

There are no refunds or credits for missed classes.

Unfortunately, the studios are located on the second floor of the building.

Being a student at Mile End Improv allows you to attend the Every Thursday Improv Show and the Sunday Sunday Improv Show, for free during the weeks you are taking classes (if space allows!)
