The Dollhouse Project – an Improvised Theatrical Experiment

The Dollhouse Project 2

SUNDAY November 16th / 8:30PM

Last year's world-premiere of The Dollhouse Project, at Theatre VME, was a sold-out hit, and so, we've decided to bring it back...

Imagine a theatre piece in which the principal performers know less than anyone else – this is The Dollhouse Project. Without any advance knowledge, the performers will find themselves costumed moments before the show and then thrust onto a set they've never set eyes upon. Unaware of the period, plot, genre, or even their own characters until they set foot onstage, the performers enter into a reciprocal act of creation: they will create a dramatic world and be created by it in turn. The Dollhouse Project is part improvisation, part planned narrative, and all a delirious experiment in spontaneous drama.
